What hidden data can a photo contain?
Photos may contain GPS coordinates, capture date and time, camera or phone model, lens details, editing software, author information, comments and sometimes device serial numbers.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Reading and cleaning happen inside your browser. The selected files are not sent to Hidden Photo Data.
Does cleaning reduce image quality?
JPEG and WebP files are re-encoded, so a small quality change is possible. You can select PNG for lossless pixels or adjust the quality control before creating the clean copy.
Can social networks already remove metadata?
Some platforms remove some metadata, but their behavior can change and may differ by upload method. Cleaning the file yourself gives you more control before sharing.
